I rather like doing one big one instead of a lot of small ones that get joined later. It is much more interesting...I love the lace scarf! It is much more interesting than the one I am making for Aaron. The one-big-'ol granny square afghans are a great thing to make while reading, stuck in traffic or waiting for the kids. They can use up a lot of scraps, too.
