(have you seen 0000 steel dpn's or a circular needle with a long, strong cord?)

Marie, the sweater is not an A-line. I'm not sure if the slight flare in the photo is due to the way I laid it out for photography, or if it's because the bottom band is seed stitch and thus slightly wider than the sweater body. I wasn't in the mood to use smaller needles or fewer stitches.jphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00756004461717514952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540626234869375033.post-42441797038788133572007-11-14T21:02:00.000-07:002007-11-14T21:02:00.000-07:00The sweater looks so cozy that I wish I could touc...The sweater looks so cozy that I wish I could touch it! Most of the book is Priscilla; I just contributed enough over the three years we were working on the expanded version that Priscilla said, "Your name should go on the cover, too." So there it is.

We both have Japanese-influenced aesthetic and practical ideas.

You'll love that sweater. Simple (a word I'd use instead of "plain"), handspun, lovely. I *still* wear a sweater made of some of my earliest handspun . . . although it's not the first sweater I knitted from that yarn. About 10 years after #1, I ripped and re-knitted (with punting when I ran out of yarn for style #2).

Wear your terrific sweater in good health. Great timing for completion. And then, some of those chunky legwarmers! And an earflap hat with I-cord squiggles! Would a frou-frou muppet-fur scarf be too much, or would it complete the ensemble?

That's the nice thing about a plain gray sweater. It goes well with everything!jphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00756004461717514952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540626234869375033.post-20792893094715367612007-11-13T10:57:00.000-07:002007-11-13T10:57:00.000-07:00That's a very Japanese sentiment. And it would go so well with a tutu!fleeglehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06348327363198905898noreply@blogger.com
